LaGuardia Airport Terminal C is the newest terminal at the airport, and it represents a significant upgrade to the overall airport infrastructure. Reopened in 2022 with a fresh new image, it stands where the old Terminal C and Terminal D previously existed, although not all areas are operational; some parts of the old Terminal D remain inoperative. The renovation marks a substantial milestone in personalizing la nueva LaGuardia making it more modern and passenger-friendly.
Layout and Levels
Terminal C has four levels designed to streamline passenger flow:
- Level 1: Dedicated to arrivals, baggage claim, with access to ground transportation and information booths.
- Level 2: Handles departures and check-in, offering access to concourses D, E, F, and G. Here you’ll find cargar-monedas, restaurantes, cafeterías y tiendas minoristas
- Level 3: For security screening.
- Level 4: The Delta Sky Club, providing a premium lounge experience with snacks, drinks, Wi-Fi, and entertainment.
The distances inside the terminal can be considerable. From security to gates 61–69, expect a 5–10 minute walk. Gates 70–79 are reachable in 4–7 minutes, or about 4 minutes for gates 86–89. If you’re running late, use the airport’s moving walkways to save time.
Transfer Between Terminals
A free shuttle bus service connects Terminal C with the other terminals, running every 8–15 minutes, 24/7. When transferring, always allow at least 10–15 minutes during busy times, and verify shuttle schedules at the information desks.
Use the signage to easily locate the shuttle stop, and consider your connection time when planning your route.
